I can't afford to pay my maintance charge. What can I do?
If you stop paying your maintenance charge you will be in breach of your Lease and the Landlord can, if he wanted, take back the property. This is known as forfeiture. If you feel that you are having difficulties meeting the payments you should speak directly to your landlord who may be prepared to accept payment in instalments.
