I want to knock down some internal walls in my flat. Can I do this?
It is most likely that your Lease will contain a restriction not to make any structural alterations to your flat without first obtaining the written consent of your Landlord. You are advised to check the terms of your Lease in the first instance following which you should notify your Landlord of your intentions and await his written consent before undertaking any work. When you come to sell the property in the future you may be asked to provide such consent.
