eco-flats go on sale

Flats in the One Brighton project went on sale this Saturday. The flats, situated in the New England Quarter of the city, are designed to be some of the most environmentally sustainable residential properties in the country.

Energy for the scheme will be provided from guaranteed renewable sources in order to reduce emissions. Hot water will be provided by an on-site biomass boiler that burns locally sourced woodchip and wood waste.

Most of the electricity on the site will be provided by off-site renewable energy sources but this will be supplemented by photoelectric and wind power.

Pippa Bugby, Sales and Marketing Director, Crest Nicholson (South East) Ltd., says: “One Brighton is an exciting development that fully embraces sustainable living. Centrally located, it offers residents both a contemporary and stylish city home that is also helping to lower their carbon footprint.”

There are 172 studio, one and two bedroom apartments and they are currently priced from £145,000.
