RICS survey conclusions
Transactions have slowed again during October but lead activity indicators and the headline price balance has improved, according to a survey carried out by RICS.
The survey for October shows a modest improvement in the price balance, although it remains historically low. Transactions continued to fall.
There has been a reported rise in the number of new buyer enquiries and sales expectations, which may indicate that people are looking to start buying again.
The main factor depressing prices is the large stock of property on estate agents books relative to the pool of able buyers, according to RICS.
These conclusions were gleaned through RICS monthly survey of its members who are chartered surveyors up and down the country.
